Fund Raiser Success!!

Thankyou everyone who came out to our 2nd annual Charity fundraiser!! we raised a whopping $1849.50 for local charity. Thankyou everyone for your generous donations and time,, and to the Crowsnest for the wonderful food!!

Hi everyone,, wanted to remind you all that the Crowsnest is having their awsome Octoberfest Sept 18th,, keep this marked on your calendars! Also have you stopped in for their woodfired pizza's on Friday evenings? They are delicious and you can have them made however you like them, with plenty of topping choices! and the Desert pizza in the winner!!

Remember to gather at the restaurant sundays at 10:30 if you want to go riding together,, all too soon we will be needing to do other things. Send in any pictures to me if you want them posted either here or on facebook:)

Wow,, has it been that long since I posted?

Hi Everyone, forgive me for not getting this updated,, it's been a terrific month,, busy busy. Full of Great weather,,and good times. The "Boys" had a little bonding time and went on a road trip to Hungry Horse, in Whitefish Mont. After some unexpected surprises they did alot of riding and had some great meals. Everyone came home safe and a little tired. Next time guy's the gals are coming! The Fund Raiser was a terrific success, Delicious Food, (we thank you Crowsnest!) Many thousands were raised for the Dyck Family,, bless you all:)

I want to say thankyou to Roger and Jyl, who always bring the camera and take time to snap pictures of us all,, and then share them with us. We love you for that,lol. Oh and for not yelling at us when you find us in your pool;) For our second summer riding together as the Wine Route Riders,, we have made plenty of new friends and grown closer to old ones. Here is to many years of good times, happiness and health!!

Fund Raising Dinner at the Crowsnest!!!

Many of you know Vesper Transport's Mechanic Dave and his wife lost their little son recently. We want to help them out by raising funds to build a college fund for their other two little boys. We are having a Dinner with live music on Aug 6th 2010. Please join us and bring your friends and help us show our support to this young family. Lets bring a little bit of peace of mind to them during this tragic time. Thankyou and I will post further details shortly. You can contact the Crowsnest Winery for more into as well.

Hi folks,, sorry for not keeping this updated!! my bad:(

Each sunday we ride from the Crowsnest, and when we arrive Sasha is prepared (10am) with hot coffee,, and we can order a delicious breakfast before we ride. Thanks Sasha!!
We have all been in different parts of the province and country so we haven't all gotten a ride in together lately, but someone is sure to be there if you want to enjoy the day.

Thankyou to all the people who attended our first annual Wine Route Riders Poker Run
It was a terrific success!! We were able to raise funds for the Kobau Park's new band shell!! The weather was perfect,, the turnout better than we hoped and the whole day was a blast. I will try to get a link posted to view the photos online.
Thankyou especially to the Crowsnest for providing the perfect setting to start and end our day. Sasha, Anne, Olaf and Sabina,,,,,,,, THANKYOU! the food was amasing as always

Sad news arrived today, we lost a friend

Word came this morning of the passing of our friend, Ed Courtney.
We understand he was attending his Mothers funeral in Ontario at the time. Leanne has requested a copy of any pictures we may have of Ed, riding his bike. At this time I do not have her number or email, if someone can get those to me I would appreciate it very much.

Leanne if by chance you see this,, we are deeply sorry for your loss. Please allow us the privilage of helping you in any way we can,, You and the family are in our prayers! I will post any news of his service/memorial as they arrive,

Today we rode from the Crowsnest out to Ok Falls, then south to Harleywood in OK Falls. Later we rode to Oliver and beyond to Osoyoos. We met up with Roger and Jyl then back to the Crowsnest for Dinner. A bit Chilly,, but worth the effort!

Wine Route Riders new blog!!

Hello and welcome to the new Blog site of the "Wine Route Riders" I am starting this so that we have a place to collect event info. post pictures of our gatherings and simply a fun place to share the things we want to share. We are in our second year and it has begun with good turnout. We gathered in March at the Crowsnest Winery, and while it was chilly we were all happy to get rolling! 11 bikes and 13 members attended! I will be adding photos periodically,, so check back in and don't forget to post your comments!!
